In this talk, I will first give an introduction on the Sobolev and Moser-Trudinger type inequalities for Monge-Ampere type equations. Then I will present a new proof for the Moser-Trudinger type inequality for the complex Monge-Ampere equation. As an application, we establish a PDE approach to the regularity of the complex Monge-Ampere equation.
